BU Wellness Celebrates 25 Years of Service: Renaissance of Wellness
The BU Wellness Network hosted its Renaissance of Wellness fundraiser party on Sunday, Dec. 8, at Turntable Indy, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The event, centered around the theme of celebrating resilience and cultural legacy, brought together community members for a night of incredible talent, vibrant energy, and purposeful action. Khara Smith and the BU Wellness team created an unforgettable atmosphere, blending the sophistication of a jazz club with the empowerment of collective action.
In addition to entertainment, the fundraiser featured free on-site health services, including HIV, Hepatitis C, and Syphillis testing, with testers receiving Kroger gift cards as a token of appreciation. This was just one example of BU Wellness Network’s tireless efforts to support the community. The organization has served over 5,000 individuals this year through programs offering housing assistance, free testing, fresh produce, and other critical services, particularly for Black and Brown communities.
Community members are encouraged to continue supporting BU Wellness Network by donating to sustain its impactful work. Events like this not only raise funds but also shine a spotlight on the creativity, resilience, and wellness the organization strives to cultivate for a brighter future. You can donate here.
