Empowering the Next Generation: Sigma Youth Symposium Hits Indy March 7
The Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated will host the 2026 Sigma Youth Symposium and Career Fair on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The event takes place at North Central High School in Indianapolis from 10am to 1pm and is designed to engage youth in grades 4 through 12. As an annual service initiative held every March, the symposium addresses critical issues affecting students through workshops, speakers, and community engagement to provide positive development opportunities. The sorority, which is a global nonprofit and a non-governmental organization associated with the United Nations, aims to achieve progress in education, healthcare, and leadership development through this program
Participants will have access to breakout sessions and a career fair where local community leaders and professionals from various industries will share their educational experiences and career journeys. Information tables at the event will highlight Historically Black Greek-lettered organizations, youth affiliate groups, and local resources focused on career exploration. Lunch will be provided for those in attendance and interested students or parents should register at the official chapter website.
