More Than a Moment: The Exchange’s Join Week Proves Black Young Professionals Are the Future

The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League is celebrating its annual Join Week with a dynamic “Homecoming Edition” from September 29th to October 5th. This exciting week of events is designed to engage new and returning members through a series of impactful and community-driven activities. The lineup includes a welcome event, “Your Exchange Starts Here,” on Monday, followed by the “Fellows Alumni Mixer” on Wednesday, an exciting “Trivia Night” on Friday, and the inspiring community service event, “#Hashtag LunchBag,” on Saturday. Each event is a reflection of The Exchange’s commitment to professional development, community engagement, and cultural celebration.

This year, The Exchange has even more reason to celebrate. At the 2025 National Urban League Annual Conference, the chapter was honored with three prestigious awards: Chapter of the Year, National Day of Service, and the coveted President of the Year, which was awarded to the phenomenal Kelly Doucet. These recognitions highlight the chapter’s outstanding service, leadership, and impact at both the local and national levels. Under Doucet’s visionary guidance, The Exchange continues to set the standard for excellence and community empowerment across the National Urban League Young Professionals network.
