Midwest Leak kicked off its Winter S.E.E.D. Lab with a dynamic two-day creative experience designed to give youth space to grow without pressure. S.E.E.D. Lab, which stands for Spark, Explore, Engage, and Discover, centers curiosity, self-expression, and confidence-building rather than performance or perfection. Throughout the lab, participants explored hands-on creative disciplines including DJing, art, digital media, dance, drumline, video editing, photography, and radio, while collaborating with peers and learning new tools. Created for youth who are curious, creative, or simply in need of a positive and enriching space during winter break, S.E.E.D. Lab reflects Midwest Leak’s belief that creativity is a life skill and that when young people are given room to explore who they are and what they enjoy, they gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
