BU Wellness Network Leads With Love and Community in Annual Drive
BU Wellness Network invites the Indianapolis community to come together for the Second Annual Coat Drive, happening Saturday, October 18th from 10 AM to 2 PM at Broadway United Methodist Church, 609 E 29th St. This vital event is about more than just warm clothing. It’s about creating real, tangible care for neighbors facing the brutal Indiana winters without the basic necessities. Attendees will have access to free coats, winter wear, blankets, sleeping bags, hygiene products, warm food and refreshments, along with free HIV and STI testing. This initiative directly supports individuals experiencing homelessness, high-risk sex workers, and people facing mental health or substance abuse challenges.
BU Wellness Network is still accepting donations of hygiene items, new socks, undergarments, hoodies, small blankets, coats, and non-perishable food. The organization is also seeking community partners to host donation sites and encourages local vendors offering no-cost services to participate. Interested in volunteering your time or talent? Fill out the volunteer form linked in their bio. For vendor inquiries, email info@buwellness.org. Together, we can make a difference; one coat, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time.
