Local Young Professional Organization Packs 200 Lunches for the Unhoused
On Saturday, October 4, The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League hosted a community volunteer event in partnership with #HashtagLunchbag Indianapolis, where participants packed 200 lunches for the unhoused community in Indianapolis. The event took place at the Indianapolis Urban League, located at 777 Indiana Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Held during the organization’s Homecoming Edition Join Week, the event gave young professionals an opportunity to make a tangible impact while connecting with others who share a passion for service. Volunteers assembled meal bags filled with nutritious items and encouraging notes, embodying the spirit of giving and togetherness that defines the #HashtagLunchbag movement.
As #HashtagLunchbag celebrates its 10-year anniversary, its commitment to addressing hunger and homelessness remains unwavering. The Indianapolis chapter continues to inspire local residents to “be the change” by lending their time and compassion to those in need.
