The Indiana Black Expo Makes a Return to the 90s with a New Hair Show

The Indiana Black Expo is turning up the nostalgia with its electrifying 90s Hip Hop Hair Show Competition, happening during the iconic IBE Summer Celebration weekend. On Sunday, July 20 at the Indiana Convention Center, stylists, barbers, and now—for the first time ever—nail techs, will bring the heat with styles that scream vintage hip-hop flair. Whether you’re channeling the bold aesthetics of Salt-N-Pepa or the slick fades of Nas in his prime, this all-star edition is all about honoring the golden age of hip-hop through hair, design, and creativity. Competitors will vie for grand prizes of $1,000 for Top Hair Stylist and Top Barber, and a fresh $500 cash award for the Nail Art Champion. Led by the legendary Arthur “PNut” Harris of Textures Institute of Cosmetology, this event is the place to be for beauty industry trailblazers and trendsetters alike. Registration ends May 15. Click here and prepare to bring the ruckus—90s style!
