Black Owned Luxury Hair Care Line Opens in Indianapolis
HBH Professional Opens New Shop, Bringing Essential Hair Care for BIPOC Community to Indianapolis
On Saturday, November 9, D’Angelo and A’Bryanna Williams celebrated the grand opening of their brick-and-mortar store, HBH Professional, marking an exciting milestone for Indianapolis’ hair care scene. HBH Professional provides quality products and services tailored to meet the unique hair care needs of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in the city, specializing in foundational care for BIPOC hair types.
HBH Professional goes beyond being a hair care brand; the couple’s venture serves as a vital community resource in a city where many have been underserved in this area. Their new store serves as a welcoming, supportive space where individuals from Indianapolis’ diverse neighborhoods can find hair care products that truly meet their needs.
St’Artup 317, a local initiative, made this expansion possible by matching young brands, established businesses, startups, and artists with vacant and under-utilized properties. The program’s support helped the Williamses secure the ideal space for their vision. St’Artup 317’s mission aims to increase local and visitor spending by filling empty storefronts and empowering historically underrepresented entrepreneurs. By backing ventures like HBH Professional, the initiative strengthens Indianapolis’ creative economy and ensures its neighborhoods remain vibrant.
HBH Professional’s grand opening was a celebration not only of a new business but of what’s possible when communities, entrepreneurs, and initiatives like St’Artup 317 come together to build a stronger Indianapolis. For both locals and visitors, this store promises to become a staple in foundational hair care, blending quality products with an understanding of BIPOC hair needs. HBH Professional will be located in The Stutz Building, 1060 N Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana until May 2025.
