Inspiring the Next Generation: Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit Empowers Future Healthcare Leaders
The ‘Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit‘ invites students, parents, educators, and healthcare professionals to a powerful day of mentorship, exposure, and networking dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare. On October 25, 2025, Indianapolis will host the 4th annual summit at Lawrence Central High School. Open to boys and girls from third grade and up, the event offers hands-on activities and opportunities to engage with doctors, nurses, and medical students from diverse backgrounds. Founded in 2013 in response to the declining number of Black men applying to medical school, Black Men in White Coats continues to create pathways for youth to see themselves in the world of medicine.
Throughout the day, participants will gain valuable insights, build connections, and learn directly from those who have successfully navigated the medical profession. The event aims to inspire students by showing them that representation matters and that they too can pursue fulfilling careers in healthcare. Parents and community leaders are encouraged to attend and support this vital movement to strengthen the pipeline of future Black healthcare professionals.
