Kings Feast Brings Families, Mentors, and Youth Together for Growth
The Bloom Project presents ‘Kings Feast Indianapolis: The Transition’ on Saturday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its new location, Warren Central High School. This annual symposium is the organization’s premier event, created to empower and inspire young minority males as the next generation of leaders. The day will feature workshops, a career and college fair connecting participants with educational and professional opportunities, a networking luncheon that fosters mentorship and community support, and a keynote address from Mr. Fred Yeakey, whose leadership and dedication to youth empowerment are sure to leave a lasting impact. More than 200 attendees are expected, including young men ages 12 to 18, their parents, professional mentors, and volunteers. Attendees are asked to arrive in business attire such as a dress shirt, slacks or pants, and a tie to reflect the professionalism and purpose of the day. Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels for organizations looking to support this transformative event. Register here.
The Kings Feast event was created in 2011 to provide a networking platform for our young males to be seen in a positive light. Our Kings are given the opportunity to meet with males from various professions and backgrounds. They learn table etiquette, attend workshops and at the end participate in a rite of passage ceremony. And what I love about the event is that not only are the Kings receiving wisdom. Their parents are invited to attend parent workshops as well. We try our best to invite all male youth serving organizations to attend the event.
