After two weeks of campaigning on DJ Panic and Indy Club Hopper websites, K3 has been selected to be the opening act for the Mike Epps comedy show at Conseco Fieldhouse April 9th. Epps will be entertaining his hometown in the house of the Pacers along with celebrity friends Bruce Bruce and Sommore.

Its quite possible that you began judging Amber Rose while she was in the spot light with ex-boyfriend, Midwest native, Kanye West. Once their relationship ended she was also seen photoed with other famous men.

When you seen those photos did you quickly assume she was sexually involved with them?

According to Amber’s twitter page, she is fed up with all of you judgmental people.

No disrespect, but that’s what comes [with] being around so many different men. In our mind if [you are] with him [you] f*cked him. In this world, it’s not about what you think you are, it’s about what people SEE [you] as and it’s up to you to make them see what you see. You’ll see what I’m [tryin] to say later on. [I'm] not bashing you. Just understand [that] you are what’s perceived in this industry

Amber’s response, “I feel [you] but you [asked] me for a pic when I met [you] I took the pic with [you] cuz I’m a fan of [yours] also. Just cuz I take a pic [with] someone doesn’t mean I’m hanging with them or sleeping with them.”

Great point right?

See the following clip of, Detroit newcomer, Big Sean speaking with MTV News host Sway. Sway asks about how, Sean’s mentor, Kanye West guides him to be the rapper he is today. Big Sean also mentions humorous  studio trips to Hawaii   with Kanye while he worked on albums; some of  those trips landed him on some remixes.

Big Sean’s debut album, “Finally Famous” has been scheduled to be released under G.O.O.D Music and Def Jam sometime this Spring. The first single is a song entitled “My Last” featuring Chris Brown.

In talks about one of the Def Jam artists, my twitter time-line caught my interest when the discussion mentioned the possibility of Antonio “L.A” Reid resigning from Chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam Records. I wasn’t sure at the time if it were a rumor or not, but when March 17th came around it was confirmed.

Antonio “L.A” Reid sent an email to his staff reading,

To my Island Def Jam family:

After much consideration, I have decided to leave my position as Chairman of the Island Def Jam Music Group.

I have always thrived on growth and the next great challenge, and I look forward with much enthusiasm to what the future holds.

I am extremely proud of our beautiful roster and all we have accomplished in my seven years with IDJ. We continue to have incredible success together with today’s most phenomenal superstars – Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, The Killers, The-Dream, Chrisette Michele, Jeezy and Ludacris to name a few.

Apparently Cincinnati, OH native L.A Reid made this decision so he could become a judge on the United States version of British television show “X-Factor.”

Questions arise like; what does this say about the music industry and labels? People who have been known to run these companies for years are veering off into different ventures. Will this make these record companies weak? We will soon see what happens.
