Tattoo Muzik is the blending of the lifestyle of two art forms. The two things that consume the life of tattoo artist and entrepreneur Amani overlap daily so much so that they have inspired the name and concept behind his upcoming mixtape.

“People love to hear music while they’re being tattooed and as an artist I make music I like tattooing to. The music playing will remind them of the experience of getting something they will keep with them forever, their tattoo musik. as an artist I like tattooing to,” said Body Animation owner Amani.

For him, tattooing is not just a hustle. It’s his career, life and livelihood even being the total source of funding for his music career.

“This is my world. Everything I do is based on tattoo. When I meet people I don’t see people, I see tattoo canvases that I can create on or enhance. Music is also creation. With both I get to create something and put something where there was nothing before,” said Amani.

The Tattoo Muzik mixtape, being released August 1st, will be hosted by DJ Holiday of The Commission at the suggesting of Black, DJ Champ and with special help from Icon of City Dump Records and Swiff tha Gift.

“Swiff tha Gift produced every track on the project and was a vital part of the process. I don’t just buy beats from Swiff, for every track on the project he came through while I was tattooing and we created the music. So at some point during the production of every track was tattoo influenced,” said Amani.
